I don't often rant, but sometimes I have to. Alright, so some know, some don't, but I'm currently active duty Navy. Don't thank me unless you're adding to the end of it "Thank you for taking the shitty life so I don't have to."It's a shame that the Navy has made me feel this way, but it is not at all what I expected it to be. I definitely joined the wrong branch. For one, and this is basically the most influential negative of them all: I have a poor Chain of Command. The leadership above me is extremely unorganized. They are never sure on exactly when we are mustering. They keep us on the ship (currently in port under construction) when we have nothing to do FOR HOURS. I literally do nothing for about 3 hours of my life everyday, when I could be off like the majority of numerous other divisions who's commands don't take the fist and =====8 o us everyday. kudos if you get that. Anyway, then there's also the simple pettiness, where things are always taken more seriously than they should be. Let's see, this one got me: so I tried to take leave for December to January. Pretty damn early to put in for leave right? They always tell us to put our leave in early. I was told to wait. They told me to wait last time and I ended up getting denied my leave. I haven't been home for a year. Excuse me if I try to put in leave again 4 months early so I can buy a cheaper plane ticket from the West coast to the East coast.
Alright, rant over, Angry Agony out.
