A lot of websites that sell domains don't allow you to use PayPal for a number of reasons, well there is a site(it is quite known) that allows you to use PayPal as a payment method. Enter the domain
Click "Find"
Click Domain Only
Remove "Private Registration"
Choose "No Thanks" on Domain Expiration Protection

That will make it $0.50.

I've done this more than a few times, I'm not sure why you're having trouble with this, wish I could help!

It worked for me The price will be a lot more for more 'OG' Domains.
For example. I tried "dollarelectronics.org' and that was 50 cents.
But when I tried "elimination.org" it came to well over $5,000.
