You will win any of my 3 character gamertags if you can solve this math problem. This is a VERY hard problem, so good luck. I know the answer, so I can't be fooled.

-Start of problem-

You want to know how many ping pong balls you can fit within a much larger sphere.

The larger sphere has a circumference of ~96in.

A ping pong ball has a circumference of ~4.9634in.

-End of problem-

I wouldn't even attempt this if you aren't in high school yet lol. It's harder than it looks.
 
You need to divide the respective volumes of the two objects in order to get the answer.
You are given the circumference, so you can solve for the radius, circumference = (2pi x r)

The larger sphere has a radius of about 15.28 inches
The ping pong ball has a radius of about 0.79 inches

Now you can use the radius to find the volume of the sphere, which is (4/3 x r^3 x pi)

The larger sphere has a volume of about 14943.72 in^3
The ping pong ball has a volume of about 2.0652 in^3

Lastly, you divide the two volumes, and the final answer you get is 7235.97.
Please check my work, and note that you may get variations in the answer depending on how accurate you are with decimal placing.

Not correct. Check your significant figures, and think about your answer. You will see what i'm looking for.

You're a dumbass I just found the exact same post on a different thread regarding this question.

I think the answer is 20 though.
 
You guys gotta think differently. This is a confusing problem, but you much think about it. And actually, wr3k is the closest yet, also his explanation is the best. He's just missing the answer even though his numbers are all, fucked up lol. Just look at wr3ks IDEA. (even though he didn't write it lol.)

No lol, a sphere is well... spherical. It isn't just 96/4.96. If it was a flat circle it would be different. You have to be looking at volumes here like wr3k was. This is a difficult problem. This is outta a calculus 2 book. But compared to all calculus, it's not that hard.
