3D Logos for Dark Forums. [Updated Frequently]

I'm changing this thread. This is what it used to be:

First time every using it today.
It's a very confusing, so this isn't very good.
I just wanted to figure out how to render stuff and put textures on objects.
I'll try to make an animation sometime.
Anyway here is what I made.

Has anyone here ever made anything in Cinema?

It is now a thread for the logos I will be making for this forum. Now in 3D!
This is mostly to get used to Cinema 4D that I downloaded today.
Here's my first one:

v2: (put more lights and changed the texture a little)

v3: Added sphere for "o" and embedded "DF" into it. Also added a wall behind everything

v4: Removed all walls. Added another sphere inside the "o" sphere to make it outlined.

I say remove the back ground since it doesn't go with the forum color scheme.

Done. I made the "o" cooler looking as well.
Now I'm definitely done. I still have homework. :glare:

This is nice, but i've never worked with Cinema4D before at all so I don't really know much about it. I know you can do all this in photoshop too, but i've been having problems with OpenGL to 3D render objects for a frame.

Also I think the gradient has a little too much contrast in differece between the white and black for the text color used. It doesn't stand out on the white. If you want to use a gradient try something like this:

Try following tutorials, search around at PsAwesome.

I like #3. 4 is horrible, and the rest have been removed by tinypic.
