Well to start off, my names Marc and I've been on forumkorner since 2014. I joined the OG scene around late 2013 and used the other site before I used FK. I stopped using the other site due to so much scamming on there. I joined FK some time later hoping it was different. I bought a couple things offsite and onsite and never actually got scammed. I felt like Forumkorner was way more reliable and the community was overall better compared to the other site. Eventually I found the Scammers Bay section and realized Forumkorner wasn't perfect, but it sure as hell was better than the other site. I went over some of them to find random new members getting banned, some old users, and even some "trustworthy" people just going out with a bang. It sure as hell is tempting to scam, even though its fucked up. I'm sure at some point everyone has wanted to scam for whatever reasons that person may have. You may have or haven't even scammed before but that's not important. What I want to do talk about is why do people scam? Where the fuck is the fun in robbing someone out of something they rightfully obtained. It's 2016 and the scams have just been more frequent and the scammed items have been less valuable for the most part. Why do you need to scam out of 5 dollars or so? Is it really that hard for you to get 5 dollars? Even larger amounts like 100 dollars or so is 2 days working at McDonalds. Personally I joined the OG community because it was a way to enjoy things you rightfully earned, and you could make easy money from it. I went inactive for a while because I got scammed offsite and didn't want to deal with all the retarded bullshit for a while. I've seen a decrease in that this year which is why I plan on being more active this year. On to my second rant
How do people still get scammed? It may seem like something difficult to answer, but it isn't. I'm not trying to put people who have been scammed on blast because it certainly isn't your fault, but you did play a part in it. Avoiding scamming is as easy as asking to use a middleman, not dealing with people who seem sketchy, and just not being chaotic with buying and selling OGs. Please don't not follow these steps when you're trying to deal for an OG. It'll take a little more time but it's certainly worth it. That extra 5 minutes or so you spent asking to deal with a middleman and looking for a middleman could mean not losing a large amount of money. Onto my final topic
Why is FK so light on scammers? If people scam, they obviously couldn't give a fuck if they got banned or not. They'd prefer they don't get banned, but they don't care as much as a legitimate user on FK. One thing I do like from the other site is the Name and Shame sort of thing, where that user's information is released for charging back. That same thing could be used against scammers because it'll certainly teach that person a lesson.
So what are your opinions on the topics I spoke about in this thread?
Feel free to post your opinions and other ideas right below. Please avoid disrespect simply because I don't want this turning into an argument.
