A very serious suggestion. Private chats.

I have no clue if this has been posted or suggested. It just came to my mind and I feel like it would be an extremely good feature on ForumKorner. If it were to be implemented I think it would make a huge, positive impact.

I've used 3 people for this example. @Leader @Sector and @Pun


It would work like this: A member can go to their private message, conduct a private message OR a private chat, and write the persons username that they want to contact. They can do group chats as well.



The recipients would be the people they want to chat to, and as you can see, I "created" a group chat. The subject would be the title of the chat, and what you write will pop up as an actual message, and would lead to a normal chat, with a timeframe, and it will all be in real time, like Skype, AIM, etc.

This could also be done for deals over FK, so it will be impossible to lie about scamming, it could be done for middle manning, or just a general group chat with your favourite members. Note that this is not a shout box, I hate the shit out of those devil cursed things.

I think this would honestly be a great implementation, people don't need to go on Skype, Aim, any other social networks to speak to people. What do you guys think?

Support for this idea. Sythe recently implemented this and it has been a success when working as far as I know.

Support, would make things easier, safer, and contribute to the value of FK.

Probably one of the smartest ideas I've seen since I've joined FK, this will prevent users from dealing offsite and lower the risks of being scammed, very brilliant idea in my opinion.

Benefits of this idea:
1. No need to make those annoying Private Messages when you can just chat with people(if I am getting this in my mind right).
2. Insanely reduced amount of Scam Reports from impostors(Philly you owe me this after I lost my 1k tag/Fucking bullshit)
3. More people will like the easy way of talking
4. Puts us one step ahead of forums like H.F, L.F, etc.
5. No need to buy a worthless aim/skype that you will never use besides talking to forum people.
5a. More money in people's hands= more booming marketplace
5aa. More booming marketplace = the growth of FK as a whole
6. Could potentially be a feature for upgraded members
6a. Would most definitely increase the odds of members to upgrade
6b. Would generate a lot more cash for FK.
6bb. Better the site in anyway you can think of.

Cons of using this:
1. Will take time; but the benefits will help out FK way beyond the cons.

This is a great suggestion/idea! Scamming rate will reduce and everyone would be happy at the end of the day.

I like this idea. A built in instant messager would be a lot more convenient than the private message system.

My only concern would be the server stress, but with the amount of groups being distributed I'm sure Philly can afford it (lol).

Would take up a lot of the site to be implemented. FK is too big for this and it would just slow the site down.

Half of the deals on FK are for aim accounts, and if this feature were to be implemented there would be no need for aim accounts, so it could possibly kill part of the market.

Nobody buys aims as it is. Even with the few that do; it will leave more money for other stuff to buy which will further expand the marketplace.
