There is a section for scammers, but I think there should be one for sketchy users, or who to look out for, because there might be someone who does sketchy things or hangs out with scammers that people know. It could be for people who almost scammed you but you decided not to deal with due to there background or something you heard about them. Idk if there is a section like this already. If there is, I will close this.


This should be in Suggestions. Please move it.

I think something like this would be some what good, but it would cause a lot of negativity. Especially if someone is falsely accused of something.

That is true, so it should be well investigated or have solid proof before people start being negative towards said person.

There is already a deal dispute section, called the dispute corner. Inside, the scammers bay tells you about the open scam reports, and inside the known scammers section the reports that turn out legit. I don't see the use of this section really, if you back out of a deal you never got scammed, and unless you have real evidence nobody is going to trust your gut feeling. Putting a warning because you " heard somebody wasn't legit / has scammed " is crazy, any user could say that any other user scammed them. Onto the topic of " hanging out with scammers ", why should somebody be penalized for the people they hang out with? I talk to doctor a lot, and since he used to turbo and scammed once under your ideas I should be consider somebody to not deal with.

If you read, I said the person would have to provide proof that the person is worth being avoided or dealt with caution. It doesn't mean they will get banned. And if all their friends are scammers, you never know if they are going to join them. It is a WARNING, not a ban or scam report.

This has been suggested before, I simply don't like the idea. It reminds me of the extremely flawed rep system on HF, where absolutely anyone can negative rep another member claiming DWC without even talking to the person let alone dealing. Imho I think this would just stir up drama, and bring bad vibes towards the site. If a serious warning is needed, then the Market Korner is more than efficient.

I did read, and you made no specification toward there having to be evidence shown or not. During the time you replied to the comment before me, I was replying, so I wouldn't have been able to know this. I honestly disagree with you about the being friends with a scammer(s). There's a reason for a MiddleMan to exist anyways, you have to either really trust the person to go first, or, as in many situations that I've been seeing, be unaware of what is going on and end up getting scammed by trusting somebody they've never even talked to before. There are many posts in the general section that covers this, maybe have a sub- forum added to the general section or the deal dispute area. As this is a suggestion, I am just giving my opinion on it.
