I haven't seen ads in years, only intentionally when I've disabled it.

Ad block is good, however if you are used to googling something and hitting one of the sponsored links on google they won't come up because. They're ads

It's not a program. It's an add-on for the browser you are using which blocks all the ads so none will come up. It's great for YouTube IMO.
