Add a quick-reply button.

I've been thinking, wouldn't it be nice if FK had a "quick-reply" button?

Basically, instead of having to do a a Full Reply to quote someone, add a button to add the quoted text to the Quick Reply box, it would be much faster in my opinion.

It's not hard to quote anyone, there is the reply button which is the exact same.

I just think it would save time? Obviously it isn't the most crucial suggestion, but it would be nice.

I really don't understand where you're coming from anyway. The reply button is almost instant in quoting.

The only other suggestion I can think of that's even close to quoting is the multi-quote feature.

Maybe I should rephrase it: Quick Reply".

True, but we already have a posting limit (45 seconds, I think), and I think that would still moderate the spam.

You want an Instant Quote feature? I'm sorry that it won't be possible without working on advanced backend jQuery, like IPB. For now, Quoting needs a full reply like IPB.

Just to add to this. Pushing the reply button is basically less than a second, how much faster do you need? I think it's fine and the work involved to put this suggestion into action is more or less a waste of time.

Quick quote (as multiquote button - when you hit it you'll get that quoted post in quick reply) is available in mybb (and it's integrated in this theme to) but it's disabled.

Quick quote (as multiquote button - when you hit it you'll get that quoted post in quick reply) is available in mybb (and it's integrated in this theme to) but it's disabled.

Multiquote is slightly different as you have to manually quote the selected posts.
