I've seen it done on things like tumblr and i really like it,

I'm not sure how you could do this as i'm not a coder or anything, but i think it'd be nice to have the option to have my own music playlist played on the site.. when i come on it plays my music from the start.. from where i left off.. or any random song on it, i think that would be nice. I'm also not sure if anyone has already suggested this.

You don't have to use this, you can simply disable it or just ignore it.. but if you're like me and you like to listen to your beats while doing pretty much anything, then i think listening to your own personal music playlist play whilst havin a geez on forumkorner, then this is definitely a great idea in my mind! Also i think it is a decently unique feature for a site to have.

Essentially, yes. This is most commonly where i see the music player at, but it could be anywhere or really look like anything, just as long as it plays my music when i'm browsing the forum then that's be fine. It'd be pretty sweet if i could like customize it too, but that might be asking too much.

This would be cool to see. But probably very tedious & hard to implement into the site. Since the option of suggesting a "forum chat" is not allowed, I'm assuming neither will this. But nice suggestion, regardless. I would never leave this forum if there was a music player on here. 0.o

You should add a Poll with "Yes" and "No" as the two options. You get enough positive votes, you never know...it could happen.

It wouldn't be hard to implement at all, it's very quite possible. There's tons of sites that have created things just for this purpose.
The most someone would have to do is probably paste a few lines of code here and there, maybe upload a few files.

OT: I'm also all for it, mainly because I'm listening to music almost 24/7.

Why reinvent the wheel ? If you have streaming services like 8tracks, Grooveshark, LastFM, why not use them ?

And if you're like me who use none of these, then this could be a simple secondary. Also, using grooveshark and such, use a lot of mobile data and can cost a bit to stream music from them.

And from where will this music on forum play ? It requires resources (UI in this case IF only a embed player is added). Regardless if it's self-hosted or found on external server it must retrive data (and again in the end it functions similar to sites mentioned before [minus hosted music files, but again they have to be retrieved from somewhere).

Correct, however you won't need 2 tabs open to listen to what you want to listen to, and you can always disable the music if you want.. i really don't see why people would say no to this idea, it's so selfish in my opinion, you're saying no to something others want just because you don't want it, but could easily with one click disable it and not have to worry about it, whilst others can enjoy the new feature.

It can be also put this way: just because you want something does not mean that someone else does. It's called different opinion, and it's not selfish to express it.

What's next - user blogs, galleries, video sharing service, social groups ? Reminds me of pre FB MySpace. As previously stated - music streaming services are there for oblivious reason. If there are fears for end-user bandwith issue just download your songs and play them via media player / browser widget.

True, I didn't mean to make it sound like that, But, I would agree with you except for the fact that if you don't want it, simple, disable it. Nice avatar pic, twelvie. I think you'll find that this isn't that bad of a suggestion. If i open another tab to like youtube, i don't want to be coming back to replay my rap every fucking 4 minutes, i want it to be continuous while on FK.
