ads?

I just started getting advertisements on fk...... and its saying this "To remove all advertisements and upgrade your account membership, do so by clicking here." while I'm power, whats going on @Philly?

Supporter is the only usergroup that will deny the ability to see advertisements. Sadly if you have already purchased Supporter you can't have the usergroup working with another upgrade.

I don't think "forced" is the correct word for this here. I can say that if you don't want ads I believe purchasing Supporter may just be the best option for you. Seeing as Adblock is disallowed here, which I personally think is stupid but then again the advertisements help philly and the site grow.

Well, I purchased supporter for the main reason to get rid of the Ads, I used to still see them until I switched to the Safari browser, for some reason no longer able to view ads, Power+ was making me see the ads after I purchased it from you a while back when my Primary usergroup was changed.

You are not forced to do absolutely anything. 

If you don't want ads you may upgrade and support the site, if not you can have ads and not support the site. It's absolutely optional, we are not forcing anything...

The settings have all been fixed, if that is not the case I don't know about it as I have had no Supporter complaints. Although I barely just added the advertisements back, after them being down for several months.

Then I have no clue man, I just know that supporter was/used to be the only usergroup that denied the advertisements.

When did you add the advertisements? I only just logged in and started seeing them, and I have onyx donator and power I honestly think I shouldn't be seeing ads, I mean for Onyx and non upgraded members its okay, also any eta on bans.php being fixed?

I added them back like 15 minutes ago, ForumKorner has advertisements and always has and always will. We briefly didn't have them, but they are permanently back again. Since Supporters creation that has been the only group that removes advertisements, you can think that you shouldn't be seeing ads all you want, however the only way you wont is if you upgrade to supporter or use adblocker like everyone else that does not support the site. It's simple and I already know what you are going to do based completely on your attitude.

I am considering not bringing the bans page back, it is not really needed any longer. If you go to any banned members profile and hit the MISC tab you can reveal their ban reason. I do not see why anyhting else would be needed.

I'm not gonna use adblocker, I only use my phone anyways, if it supports the site I'll deal with them, I was just wondering. and you should bring it back, its funny just seeing all of the banned members and the reason, if its too much work it's fine

It is not really too much work at all, I just do not really like glorifying bans which is what I am starting to feel the bans page does.

It'll be better to see the original ban page because it'll show all the members who's been banned recently, instead of going to each banned members profile and seeing why they were banned.

how can you complain about ads? you literally have to pay nothing to use this website and yet you complain about a one inch banner ad that is just there, its not like you have to watch a 30 second commercial or anything, its just a picture.

I'm using my phone, and there's currently 5 banners on my screen lol. its annoying.
