Advertising in Sigs

I've noticed that this was removed from everyone with no notice and then people's sigs were suspended, first of all notice should have been given but whatever.
Secondly, I agree with the decision you have took when you don't contribute or pay towards having that, but when you have spent a large amount here and continue to do so, this is kind of annoying.
I'm sure there's plenty of people who want an answer to this so @Philly please respond when you have time.

Although I never did this and my signature was never suspended, I don't see why a warning wasn't issued instead of the persons signature being suspended right away.. However I haven't spoken to anyone which this has happened to, I'm just assuming they didn't receive any warning.

You already have a paid banner ad, and you complain about more, excessive free advertising... Come on dude... Do you want me coming on your forum and doing nothing but advertising? Doubt it..

You make it sound as though you gave me all that for free, I PAID for it all. You got rid of all advertising, fair enough it's your forum do what you want. The thing that annoys people is you didn't announce anything.
Also, when I paid for my award and stickies you said yourself it was perfectly fine for me to advertise that in my sig - that is the reason I actually paid you for those things. It's gone from me having an award thread to it being merged away in the Website section and now I can't even advertise what I paid for, but whatever. I guess I'll spend more wisely from now on.

Not that I know of. Other people have just had it suspended. I actually had my posting suspended, although this turned out to be an error.

I agree that you do give him the privilege of advertising although I think some sort of announcement should have been made before users were punished.

It's a one week sig ban, it's not big of a deal. If you think about how long you have been here compared to just one week, that is a breeze and very miniscule. It's purely to prove a point and get it out there that I don't want anyone advertising anymore unless it is in the website showcase or paid advertising.

Still , they shouldn't be punished at all for something they had no idea about. And from what I am hearing you perm banned some users signatures.

Damn you all act like signature spaces actually matter, Atleast you can still post and didn't get banned for advertising in your sigs,

Fuck maybe @Philly made a mistake and forgot to issue a warning but I'm pretty sure owning a forum this big there's things that'll be forgotten

That is none of my concern take that up with the mod that issued the sig ban, it was not me and it is their choice how harsh to punish. I would assume he warned and then the user probably advertised again to issue the perm but as I said I know less than you do I guarantee it. I do not moderate, I keep the site online.
