So, Why are there two advertisement up there? I could understand one, but two?

Not to sound cynical or anything, but I don't think most people even see them. Let alone click them. I usually run an adblocker all the time so I never noticed them, but I'm using Canary and it doesn't currently support plugins.

But anyway, you might be scaring away new visitors, putting double advertisements on the top and in the middle of threads. Oh, and on the bottom of the page...

@philly will ban you if you are using Ad Block.
I paid for my first upgrade solely to remove ads. Pretty crappy if you ask me...

Philly will ban you for advertising/telling others to use it in any way. I don't use it, but you can. It's just you're not to tell others to use it.

I'm not telling other people to use it. They're free to do what they want. It's just something I noticed when using Canary and thought it best to make people aware of it. Because, honestly, a majority of people don't use ad blockers; and if they see a website with not one, ~~one~~ , but two advertisements, they'll probably be scared away.

I mean, if that's what you're going for, sure, why not. Your site.

But I'm tired of talking to all the same people.

Well, it's all preference. I can't/wont tell you to use Adblock.. but if you use it, that's on you. It is allowed, but I feel that seeing a couple advertisements doesn't hurt you that bad, and it really will help Philly pay the fee's.

I help Philly pay the fee's by purchasing upgrades. And I occasionally donate as well. (Also, Supporter is $10 a month, recurring. So I also donate there too I guess.)

Also, the CPC (Cost Per Click) is very, very low. He gets like $0.01 or something for each click. (Probably Less. Things may have changed last time I affiliate marketing)

But, you're right it is all preference, I just think that, a majority, of current and new users, don't like the dual advertisements. Which I think, once you count them all, it ends up being like 6 on a page. Or 8 on Hot topics.

They are mostly all paid advertisements from BuySellAds I believe.

Not sure on how it works, but I have purchased an ad to be displayed on here before. The ad itself was $25. Whilst I presume BuySellAds keep a % of this, the rest would go to FK. Not sure if you also get paid per click either.

That would be buying an advertisement slot off of @philly, which is not what I'm talking about. (Although that is a nice point.)

My whole point here, being that, one seems fine every post now and then and maybe at the header and bottom of the page. But having two advertisements for each seems excessive. (But hey, if your making bank of displaying the same to Warrior Forums ads, go for it.)
