I have a sleeping disorder because of my anxiety.
I'll sometimes sleep for like 3 hours and stay way for the rest of day.
I have been able to beat the sleeping disorder lately as I am finally starting to beat my anxiety.
What I do is lay there and watch movies/tv shows in the dark until I get tired. Sometimes it was half way through the first movie, sometimes it was 4+ hours later.
I would notice I was thinking about trying to fall asleep too much, and when that happened, it kind of just snowballed.
So, I advise you not to take pills as they do nothing good for you. Sure, you may get to sleep because of some of them, but the long-term symptoms are much worse.
Trying doing something to take your mind off of sleeping. Play a videogame, watch something, exercise, write or just do anything that will make you stop thinking about sleeping. Soon enough, your eyelids will get heavy and you will start yawning.
