Alienware OptX AW2310 3D monitor

How I came across the Alienware
Ive had the monitor for just under 6 months now, and it is truely the most amazing thing ive ever seen. I orginally wanted the Asus 23" Monitor, but due to extremely bad reliability reviews I just had to get the Alienware. Yes the price was almost double the price of the Asus, but with it I got the Nvidia 3D Bundle which was already compatabile with my Graphics Card.

Design & Features
From the picture below you cant really see the awesomeness behind the monitor.
The monitor can rise and lower to suit your requirements, it also tilts and rotates really smoothly so you can position it just right. Also, not that its so important, but the base is so heavy, it truely keeps the monitor anchored to the ground. This is quite nice when messing with the monitors position because the base doesnt move like some similar monitors do.

I nice little feature of the AW2310 is the buttons, well thats incorrect. Im not exactly sure what they are but when you run your fingures by them they glow. Its like they have some sort of heat sensor detecting when your figure goes by. Using these sensors you can access the menus which obviously changes multiple settings. Like most Alienware products you can create differnet modes for your monitor, so triggering one sensor changes the settings you prefer to watch a movie, whilst pressing another sets up the monitor for gaming etc.

The monitor has the following ports;
  • DVI x 1
  • HDMI x 1
  • Audio In
  • Audio Out
  • USB 2.0 x 4

Summary
This is a truely amazing monitor, and would suggest it to anyone who has the money.

Price = 3/5
Design = 5/5
Quality = 5/5
Overall = 4/5

Yeah he does. Two of these monitors for one Alienware machine. And then a 46 inch for his main one I believe.
