I'm glad you're enjoying the forum. I'm glad to hear your comment about the speed of the site, I spent quite a few days optimizing the site and securing it, we're pretty secure against attacks too, I'm glad you like the theme too.
As for your question. Currently, I don't make a profit from
this site, money I receive would be from donations, so far we haven't had any donors, but I haven't finished setting up the donation page, so that's not surprising. I plan on finishing the donation page today and making that live so hopefully we'll get some donors, these members get increased rates too.
I don't want to add advertisements on the site, if I do, they won't be overally annoying, popping up in all directions and making you want to leave. I would have one advertisement at a time, if we got someone who was willing to pay for an advertisement spot on the site.
I'm currently working on a PTC (PaidToClick) which is set to launch soon, I'm going to make that site a partner with this site, I have a few ideas in mind, i.e. users who donate a certain amount of money get upgraded membership on both sites, not 100% sure how that would work though.
