An actual suggestion regarding recent events.

I suggest we require a site wide password change before more and more people get hacked, already @rude @thehackerhd and now @epidemic have been getting hacked, it would be a good idea to first change your email linked with your FK to a brand new one with no alternate connections to public emails. Then change your password and delete any emails on the previous email used to sign up. I archived mine onto my hard drive. This should be a annual event, maybe even an every 3 month thing to insure safety and keep your reputation within the community.

I like this suggestion but I don't see many people liking it, the reason is because it seems like it's too much work

Why would FK member need to do this? Them getting hacked has absolutely no connection with FK besides them frequenting here. FK was not hacked directly so why would people changing their details here matter?

I know it doesn't have much to do with FK but it's still an issue that has effected a few members already. You have to see my point here, it's not a security issue but a lets play it safe issue.

The issues is with members using common passwords on other sites or passwords that are too easy to guess.

There has to be a connection. Either they all downloaded the same virus/rat, or they all used the same exact password as they use on something else that is more vulnerable offering easily obtainable passwords such as yahoo did about a year ago.

It should really be common sense for people to use unique passwords if they feel as through they may be compromised.
