I would suggest:

Cowboy Bebop:It is cool. Own it on DVD, and have watched it a couple times. It is a fun little ride, and a must for everyone to watch.

Wolf's Rain: It has a interesting story, but with it has 4 recap episode and no ending.

I like Wolf Spice, Blue Exorcist, Death Note, HxH, Parasyte, SAO. I recomment all those, I still have more in mind but I can't think of them atm

Cory in the House is a great show anime.

Cory in the House is about the daily struggle of an African American youth whose father is the chef for the president. This is very episodic, so if that turns you off please understand that these are some of the most emotionally complex stories ever written. The show handles some very heavy themes that most children's anime wouldn't touch like the trouble of capitalism, racism, and youth voting. Cory is probably one of the most complex characters ever written. He wants to succeed in a world that won't let him. I would compare him to Tomoko in Watamote because they are both main characters you want to succeed in a world that just won't let them. Cory in the house is a roller-coaster of emotion I would ride again 7/10 pepperonis.
