When did I even say I was for this?

It probably will get vetoed by the president. If not, there will be a backlash.

When it comes to the idea of literally having your rights taken away from you, it's good practice to assume that the worst can and will happen. What governments around the world have in common is that they cannot be trusted. I can see where you're coming from, there's probably not going to be a turn around from capitalism to communism in the U.S.A within the next decade. However, as more people begin to speak out on how corrupt the government is and how backroom deals led by major corporations continue to cripple the economy, the government will feel the need to do damage control.

If a bill is passed that can veto all of a citizen's rights and freedoms "if we [they] want it to", speaking out against the devious corrupt acts of the government could very easily be enough for them to "want" the bill to apply to said citizen. The next thing you know, life at Guantanamo! So much for caring about democracy in your country, traitor. You might as well have "DEATH TO AMERICA!" tattoo'd on your forehead.

We want to see you fail because you're "better" than us?
Oh, Chewy. You so funny.

As a Canadian, I want to see you succeed. If your country does well, we have nothing to worry about. When you guys f*ck up, we feel the shock wave of the repercussions.
However, I do not envy you in the least. Nice try though.

FUCK Religion. Fuck Rick Perry. Fuck Government. What ever happened to going and cutting down a tree for someone for a couple chickens? America would be the best country EVER if we had never had a set type of currency. LABOR should be the worlds currency. That would stop laziness, most likely end obesity inflation, make us stronger as we would be working hard everyday to eat, and overall give us a greater morale. we dont need leaders, we don't need police. The people should be the police, take care of your problems, yourself.

I was just replying to what you said. And Obama claims he is going to veto it but we won't know until it gets too his desk

That would be called a resource based economy.

The U.S. Declaration of Independence states that "when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government”

You must also remember that the Supreme Court can and will stop this law from happening.

If anything bad happens we can exercise this right. This is what solves your worst case scenario. There is also the fact that unlike countries that have/had a dictatorship, there is no party that has complete and utter control over the United States of America. What happened in Germany is that the Nazi Party took over and signed something that gave Hitler complete control over Germany. America does not have that party.

More Stuff:
New Hampshire's constitution guarantees its citizens the right to reform government, in Article 10 of the New Hampshire constitution's Bill of Rights: Whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

Other States have something similar to this in their Bill of Rights.
