Anukul Chandra Thakur’s Sayings:
Anukul Chandra Thakur known as “Sri Sri Thakur†was one of Leading Gurus of India. He has many disciples all over the world. He has many sayings which are true to life. I will list the main ones:
1. He says if a man gets characterless it does not harm the society. But if a woman gets characterless it spoils the society.
2. He says a friend is more intimate than money. So everyone should try to get more friends.
3. He also preaches that the son gets all the good qualities if the wife loves her husband.
4. He is of the opinion that if a person forgets about his health he gets sound health.
I followed Satsang (A holy organization Founded by Guru Sri sri Thakur : Anukulchandra thakur).
I took his diksha(a religious ceremony) at a very young age by Ritwik Nandalal Sadhukha and again on 13th day by Ritwik Amiyabindu Majhi. I used to meditate his emblem given by the Ritwik for the last 20 years, even in during span of 4 years in USA.
Still now I am trying to follow His theme and meditation since my departure from USA along with Iskcon(an organization based on Lord Shri Krishna and Bhagavad Geeta). A disciple of “Sri Sri Thakur†pointed out that “Only satsang followers will survive in the world in the coming yearsâ€
In summary I have been following satsang for the last 30 years. But I am not sure about the importance of Gurus. Gurus cannot be like God. They are religious persons. I think we need to follow 330000000 Hindu Gods instead of Gurus. I am quite in the dark about the hierarchy or inter-religion relationship of Gods.
