Well at first my announcement was going to say "we were hacked, but I fixed it now". But we weren't even hacked. We were betrayed by a kid called George. He is a user on this forum (banned now) and former Administrator. I don't want to bore you with the details but he had a grudge against Market Forums because he was demoted (trying to steal the Staff behind my back, and was caught).

We shouldn't get anymore downtime. Thanks to Hostgator for pointing this out for me.

He's my friend so you can f*** right off. He is a great guy and he is not a child and handles a lot! He will get a lot further that you if you have a rage at him.

Yeah, he's some great guy. Defacing a site because he was mad he got demoted. Yeah he's a well good guy.

Note: He hasn't hacked anything. It was a complete noob error on my end not removing his FTP account which I forgot about.

I thought he is a good guy. I, myself, was a member at TDL. Erm. But, I still wonder, you guys had merged the database. And I guess, you have got lots of active users because of that. Why would George go on cheating?? Doesn't seem reasonable. Whats the reason, that an Admin will go on stealing on his OWN forum? And what did the deface say, btw?

He lost his Admin. As he went behind Crayo' back. Trying to take staff from this site onto ours. He was given premium and would have to earn it back if he wanted it.
He decided to deface us. We recovered. I'm disappointed to see that he did this.
I was with TDL more or less from when it began so I've known George over a Year.
I never expected him to do that.

Short story: He wanted to start a new site (he's a power freak, needs to be the top dog) and went behind my back asking my Staff to leave my site and Staff his. I wouldn't of had a problem if they were Staff there, but he was demanding them to leave MF else they wouldn't achieve it. I found out, removed him from Admin and then gave him lifetime VIP. He seemed okay with it. Then he does this. Deface was just a redirect to a rickroll site.

There will be no "war". I don't want Market Forums to get a bad name because of one immature action of a mad former Admin. We're too busy constantly improving Market Forums to get into a "cyber war".
