Are we alone?

Everyone has there thoughts, it's just to ponder what really goes on in my opinion. Who knows if the pictures aren't coverups etc. We don't really know what goes on. Personally, I wouldn't be suprised if there is alien life form on earth just deep underground or something.

Now there is another thing I agree with you on haha.. The gov could be hiding aliens from us on earth and nobody would know about it.

I guess nobody has these answers...

I believe that there definitely is something else out there, especially if space actually is infinite.

I'd like to share a quick quote. Not sure who to credit it, but it goes something like:

"There are only 2 possibilities in this world that we exist in.

1. We are either alone
2. Or we are not

Both are scary."

Now that is a very scary thought, and I am leaning more on number 2, which I feel to be the LESS scary of the two.

Anyhow, the many people that deny the possibility, let alone the probability, of there being some other form of life in existence somewhere, are extremely ignorant and closed-minded.

If any of us really knew how big the universe is..oh wait..we cant because its so large that your brain cant even fathom it. No tool of measurment that your are familiar with would do it justice. Even if some said "X amount of earths=size of universe" the number of earths would be impossible to RIGHT DOWN in your whole lifetime. Think about that.

And keep in mind there are multiple universes, and a popular belief among highly intelligent scientists (which by the way are really the only people thats opinions really matter in all this) that there are multiple dimensions. If even ANY of this is true to the SMALLEST extent, then no, we are not alone.

I would love to get into more, but I will seriously type until my fingers bleed by the time I am done expressing my own personal opinion, which much of so is based off of fact. I do like to throw a little philosophy in there though, it makes things fun, as long as you can differentiate between the 2.

There is already a thread for that man ^

When philosophical topics get mixed at all, it really just creates a ton of confusion and the topic dies out shortly after that. Thats what im trying to prevent here haha. Just take it into the other thread =]

Another reason I believe aliens have visited our world is because our exponential growth in technology. How can we go from horse drawn carriages to flying in 60 years? I really don't think that is possible.

I didn't really read anything but this. It's probably as the only thing I have some knowledge in.

It's a small progression and also because of ideology of some time periods. Look at the Christian Dark ages, nothing happened during this period. Then look at when the telegraph was invented, this gave us the ability to collaborate. Also the car was invented, which helped us improve transportation. From things like those we've been able to innovate and innovate. Really it's just a spike and now we are stating to flatten out, graph-wise. I mean this may or may not disprove your point, but it's really gives you more expansion on this argument.

I don't think we are alone. Just think about it, the universe is so fucking big. There has to be some other kind of life out there.

Astronomers estimate that there are approximately 100 billion to 1 trillion galaxies in the Universe, and with that knowledge they calculated that there are approximately 10^22(10 sextillion) to 10^24(1 septillion) stars in the Universe. Based off those statistics alone, how could there not be extraterrestrial life out there?

Absolutely amazing thread. Since I was a kid I always wondered about the life outside the earth. It's one thing that has always interested me. That being said, you're thread is literally amazing. Really HQ, I actually watched the full 12 minute and video, and what the hell is that on 9:44?

I can also say that I'm almost 100% sure that theres life somewhere else in the universe.

Despite the Hype's belief, what are we alone just for this moment? What if we drew the biggest straw and we are the most advanced life, while some other planets are just now discovering a stick is a good weapon. It could be a possibility.

Thats not a bad thought^

I feel as though it would be more likely that there is a further advanced species/race out there. Just more evidence suggests it. Even more likely would be the possibility of both inferior and superior "its" out there.

I wonder if as we look up at the stars people are looking back at us wondering if their is advanced life out their like ourselves.
