Are you a Soul with a Body or a Body with a Soul?

Well, we have both flesh and spirit but what really governs us. The soul or the body? Do we exist because of our soul using our body or do we have the body where our soul dwelling within it?

What i grew up to believe in is that we are put here on earth on a purpose. Each of us has his own purpose. It is our duty to seek what God would want us to do. And when we have accomplished our ultimate reason for being, it is when the soul leaves our body and go back to where God has destined it to be.

both statement holds is like asking between chicken and egg who is old

As for science, it is the brain that controls our body, the body system function in accordance to its function as controlled by the nervous system or the brain. When the body dies, religion says that the soul goes out of the dead form and go somewhere else to live in another life. As long as we are here attached to our human body, it is the body that will control us. The subconscious mind believe to be the soul can only manifest in limited areas but it is still the body that is in full control.

simple, its you who controls your body and soul..

they are co.related, theycant be separated, if you lose your soul then you die, then if you dont have he body, your a ghost..

its your presence and freewill that commands you to do something..

I also felt like that..I believe that we have a soul inside our body and when we die soul will leave the body and reach to God..Some energy is leading us everyday that I think is our soul...

its difficult to answer this question.soul is something which has a direct connection with god while body acts a barrier between the two energy source.when i am praying in front of my lord in the pray house made in my house,i feel am a sole.when i meditate,i feel to be lighter as a sole.but when am engaged in my day to day jobs,am a body.

it is really hard to tell on how the way it started if it is all about soul before the body or body before soul?. Body is useless without soul so as the soul without body... But in layman's term if you have body without soul then better you vanished and be killed as you are a worthless beast who doesn't need to give a favor of living.

When God first created the first man Adam out of the dust, He breath unto his nostril and he became a living soul. So, I guess, it was a body first who became a living soul. Body with a soul. But the most important is the soul because it is the one who face eternity and the body will turn into dust after the person died.

I don't really belive in 'souls' or anything of that nature. What if you make a clone. Do you duplicate your own soul? I don't belive in these kinds of things :/

I think that "soul" and "energy" are the same, so a body without energy should be motionless (already dead). I don't know if you believe in ghostes: they don't have a body, they can't communicate to all of us, but they exist and they just have a soul.

Are zombies and clones bodies without soul? They have some energy, maybe different zombies/clones share the same soul. :Tounge:

I think both. Body and soul ,they are related to each other. You cannot say that your body is the owner of your soul,or your soul is the one who controls your body. I think both of them play a vital role in doing God's purpose for us..
