Recently in the Philippines, there has been an on-going clash between the Christian community and some Non-Religious group about Art being blasphemous. Eventually the State sided with the Christian which led to the closure of the said art exibit.

Art and Blasphemy

For me, it should be a matter of own-opinion-and-own-interpretation of art, its not the art that is blasphemous, it is those people interpreting the art.
The State should've not sided with any religious sect, it should've acted according to the rule of law, and not because the Church is the thin line between winning an election or not.

What is your stand in this issue?

Yeap it's the people's interpretation of the art. Many of the people doesn't appreciate art that much, and yet the State itself made a safe move since the religious sect is bashing them a lot and they are hoping that their bills will be supported. So yea, the story has ended, the man that brought the art has been sued and the religious sect are damn happy about it. Their teachings make me sick.
