Awkward Penguin said:Well, what do you mean by getting bugged? Merge/convert systems will always be resource hogs; they are changing the way the entire data base is laid out, after all. The same can be said for any conversion system.

au3 said:Hah this is kinda weird. I am homeschooled and was introduced to MyBB when I was 11.
Where are you from?
Jimmy said:Well I used the convertor on a MyBB Forum to merge my phpBB DB and it worked fine. My host was Hostgator but again, when I tried the same thing with 000webhost, it failed, no matter how many times I tried. The process was never full.

It's a free host. No duh it's not going to workTheir resource limits are so low you can't do shit.
Jimmy said:I use it for testing. I think I'll try GoDaddy.
Ewan said:How easy is to merge MyBB with a different platform to create a website which ties into the forum?
EG: If you earn points on the site, they count towards a forum points system?
So that it's all linked together.

...frankly we are baffled by the logic. The group identified MyBB as being targeted because one of our users runs an online forum dedicated to hacking. By this same analogy, if someone purchases a car and then uses it to run someone down or damage another’s property, then the manufacturer of the car should be responsible, which is obviously corrupted logic.
The group totes freedom as their cause but by attacking an Open Source project they are undermining freedom in every sense of the word. Anyone is free to download and use our software, no matter if you’re rich or poor, a nurse or a hacker, and the fact they targeted us for this is an utter contradiction of their reasoning.

Angry and confused. We were pretty miffed that they were able to SE our domain registrar; there should have been more security in place. WE have since transferred to a registrar that has better security measures.
We were pretty puzzled as to why they hacked us. To quote the MyBB blog:
