This was a review I wrote for ACB awhile back. Enjoy and comment/critic it for me
So I rented Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the latest of the series by Ubisoft Montreal and I thought that for those who were on the edge I'd post what I liked/disliked about the game to provide a little more support for your decision.
First Five Minutes:
When I started up this game, I really didn't know what to expect from the minds at Ubisoft Montreal. They had a knack for making epic story lines and somehow making it sci-fi at the same time (Don't worry guys, I was just strapped to a computer/ending of ACII). After getting adjusted to the controls again, I naturally fell back into the motions of that of the AC series. It was a good feeling to say the least, but I enjoyed it.
Pros:
Cons:
The Conclusion:
Rating: 8.5/10 (A Recommended Try/Rent)
Considering the full potential of this game, Ubisoft did deliver quite nicely. They created a epic all around game for AC fans to enjoy for hours on end. I would recommend this game to anyone who liked the first two games or is new to the series; Its an awesome game.

Pros:
- The Storyline: Ubisoft Montreal did very well with the storyline, you can get easily immersed into the game and play for hours without realizing it.
- The Characters: Like any good single-player based game, the characters are often the most noticeable part of the game. Ubisoft Montreal delivers a beautiful cast of characters, giving each a lifelike feel and the humanity needed to really connect with the story and bring the game to life; Nice job Ubisoft.
- The Multi-player: Yes, it's here; Multi-player in Assassin's Creed. The first part of the new feature is the gameplay. While it is fun, it turns from incognito, stealthy assassinations to Call of Duty with Assassins VERY quickly. Yet it doesn't necessarily suffer for it.
- The Gameplay(Single-player): While this most likely isn't necessary, I feel compelled to point out that with the new "toys" Ubisoft gives the player, the game turns from sneaking around and assassinating people that give you issues; to sneaking around and assassinating people like the terminator(if he were a assassin garb-clad Italian). If you enjoyed the first two games, you'll love the gameplay.
Cons:
- The Sci-fi: While this is a bit opinionated, I feel that I should stick this in the cons because I still feel cheated that Ubisoft turned assassin's creed into a sci-fish game(if its called that, computer->memories->profit?) Honestly, this isn't a game changer; rather, its my way of complaining/filling up a con slot.
- The Multi-player: Hey Knight, didn't you put Multi-player in the pros? Yes, I also put it in the cons because of the same reason. While I was happy they put multi-player in the game; It completely skews the concept of the game with it's FPS-like game play (see a guy, you die or he dies in the span of 4 seconds). There is little to no "stealth" in the multi-player, so for those who expect it(like myself) you will be surely disappointed.
- The Bugs: While it may have just been me, I noticed a whole lot of bugs happening(permanent loading screen/people getting stuck in walls/launched across the city.) Normally I wouldn't mind it, because whats a few minor glitches. However, when a major(game play distorting) glitch keeps occurring; You get a little frustrated. I fully expect Ubisoft to address these issues and get them patched within the next few weeks, so eventually this will be a thing of the pass.
