The voice actors for dubbed are meh, but I'm still going to give it a go. I like subbed better so far.

I was trying to watch it on adult swim; it was on around 3am and I couldn't stay up

I just watched it a little bit ago. I was not about to stay up until 3am.

Thanks for this. I wanted to watch it when I saw multiple friends on Facebook recommend it. I'm not a big fan of anime, but after watching Bleach (highly recommend if you've never watched anime, or if you've just never seen it) I decided to give AoT a try, but couldn't get through the first episode. I'll leave my opinion after watching though.

I watched Bleach for some time when I first started to get into anime. Just didn't finish. Too many episodes. Do tell me what you think though. I've watched everything up to date with subs on AoT. It's pretty damn good.

Yeah a friend from out of state got me into Bleach. I watched the first ten episodes with him, and a few after that, but once realizing how many episodes there were I saw no point in trying to watch the series.

The English dub definitely starts out different. I only watched about the first five minutes of AoT on Netflix, but I remember it starting out with a boy in a town, inside what I recall to be a shed, with what I believe to be his sister. The boy is different looking. I'm not big into Anime, so I'm not sure if video alterations are common, but I just assumed it would be audio stripped and replaced with an English one.

At first, the show didn't have me excited for the next episode. I was ready to forget about the series. I wasn't interested until about fifteen minutes in. I don't want to give anything away, but it's kind of difficult to show my interest for the series without doing so. I'll just say the beginning is kind of rough, especially if you're not into Anime. However after finishing the first episode I see the series following a similar path to Bleach, that has me interested enough to the point that I can honestly see myself following the rest of the show with English subs on Netflix.

The voice actors for almost any English dubbed show sucks... >.>

They never put any real emotion in it.

Not true at all.
Examples:
-FMA
-Claymore
-Samurai Champloo

Although they are more main stream anime they do have some talented voice actors. That list can go on. Most do not, but some do have excellent voice actors.

Ok, except for FMA. They were amazing. I'm watching Claymore and Champloo in Subs though. ;)

Edward's voice actor was so damn good! Ahh but I've watched all those series dubbed and subbed. I do prefer subbed most of the time though.

Yea, I got into watching subs when Fairy Tail stopped eng dubbing around ep 120 I think it was, and then you had to watched subbed till 176.

Did they ever finish that season? When Natsu was about to face off with the twin dragons?

And will they ever finish this? Because right now it seems to follow the One Piece storyline where nothing ever ends.... Just an endless adventure.

I haven't got into Fairy Tail. It has been on my list to watch for a while now. I started the Guilty Crown, and I am trying to finish Cowboy Bebop but it seems like such a stale show. Not much plot going on in the story right now.
