If you must have a anti I would recommend Kasperky and MBAM combo.
Most people think one antivirus is all you need but they are sadly mistaken, although almost anyone who kows what they are doing can access your system through any anti with ease.

Just got this yesterday as my previous anti virus software (Kaspersky PURE) expired and don't want to pay the money to renew it right now. Works great so far, just done a few scans with it.

Used to use Norton but it's one of the most expensive I've came across. Over $300 or something a year for it last time I checked?

Personally I would not go with AVG, it's virus removing abilities are okay, but it's detection rate is atrocious.

If you were looking for a good decent AV that you are not willing to pay for then I would go with Avast + Comodo Firewall. It's great, because Avast has exceptional detection rate and Comodo's Firewall is one of the best out there. With this combination, it will surely work for you.

If you on the other hand are willing to pay for an AV, then I would go with ESET, Avast Internet Security, Trend Micro, Malwarebytes.
