Award Buy-in's?

What is the point of an award buy-in?

I mean seriously, I thought an award was earned for doing something for it? Not for purchases to overflow your entire profile full of junk?

I just don't understand the concept. I have never bought a trophy in real life for being good at something, or for taking part in a competition, so why must we buy awards? They don't do anything for you.

I feel that the awards that more than half of us own should be given for doing specific achievements, not to buy a little icon that shows on my screen for $5. Absolute anarchy.

Bought my awards for koins, since koins are mostly useless otherwise. Honestly, nobody wants to pay $60+ on an award just to not make any money.

I don't see much of a problem with the awards system, I mean if someone really wants a certain award then they can pay for it. It depends on the person, basically. Personally, I would never purchase an award (other then donation/upgrade awards).

My award doesn't cost a dime, just some of your time.

If the award is owned by a user, then I believe they are allowed to do whatever they wish with that award ownership.
And if buy-ins is what they chose, then so be it.

I completely agree. I understand usergroup buy-ins, but aren't award buy-in's a bit ridiculous? An award should be something you have to earn, not pay for. It's just a group of pixels on your screen, not a trophy.

Love the analogy about buying a trophy @Poison

Get over it, they invest their money how they want. Don't like it then don't buy it. Simple.

I wasn't looking for negative feedback.. Nor looking for an argument. I don't care what they do with it. This was just a simple question that has already been answered.

But thank you.
