Back to bartering: what do you think?

Some of us don't feel this economic crisis so much, but that's going to get wilder. How can we fight it?
Simple, let's forget money!
I know, this isn't the right forum, but I'm just thinking.

How?
We can try, step after step, to embrace "bartering" like our ancients did in the past. We can start with planting in pots or in our garden some fruit trees and vegetable plants. Then we could farm animals to get milk and meat. We'll finally exchange our products with our neighbors. We'll keep on earning something to buy extras (clothes, paying rent and so on).

Why?
Bankers own money, they currently own our lives. Crisis has been born because of them and they're going to do worse things in future. We have to rip the power out from their hands!

Tell me what you think about this and if you are already bartering with people you know or if you're willing to start.

And I'm sorry for my poor English... :Tounge:

I agreed with the idea of bartering but the technology already gone so far and people already enjoyed and embraced its goodness. Mass production, factories and other big producers of product were already stable and put up there business and it could hardly go back to where we are before. People like the easy life and whether we like it or not our technology will be more upgraded to meet the demands of people. If somebody will initiate the bartering I will support it, I guess it is fun to do that.

Hehe, I guessed it was too late. There are already some forums and websites about bartering (swap, for example) but it's really hard and this kind of bartering is not with things we need everyday like food or beverage. Well, my grandmother often uses bartering with my mother (my mom cleans home and my grandma "pays" her with fruits and vegetables she has in her garden.

The problem is we live in a city where space is a problem. yes, we can plant on pots and cans but the heat and pollution in the city won't let plants produce good fruits. What about those who can't plant and have only their skills to offer? yes, skills barter can also be possible but how about those who have none? What we must do is to think of a way to have good food storage, something that will last for decades, once we have good harvest, store the foods for future use. Food scientists must deal on this or else...
