Banning children from restaurants?!

I recently read that a couple of restaurants in the US have banned children under 6 from entering them! The owner said while the child may be the center of their universe for the parents the child is not center of THE universe.

What do you think about this? Do you think it's fair? Should children be banned from a restaurant at any age? Should it be a certain TYPE of restaurant?

No i dont think they should ban children. Make a section there familys with children under 6 can sit. Problem solved. But if they want to lose customers its there choice.

Oh really? Never heard a news about that. Maybe the restaurant is quiet and suitable for family date, couple date, etc. As we know children below 6 years old will cry anytime they want. So, those restaurant are avoiding some noise to distract there costumers for having a quiet moment while eating. I am not sure but that's in my mind. That's a sad news but there are restaurant I guess who love the children environment, so parents can go there I guess.

There should be a children's section in a restaurant. (If it is a classy restaurant or romantic ones) Just to separate the kids from the dating/courting couples that are doing romantic things in that restaurant. Well, there are lots of restaurants that accept kids along with their family. And banning them would lose their customers.

I don't think it is fair to ban children in restaurants. They may make a lot of noises but I think the management should be considerate about this because after all, they are children.

Parents do have the responsibility to teach them how to behave in a public area including the proper etiquette while eating and the likes.

They should give a chance, there are some polite children on this world. Then they should allow dogs, cats, snakes... hoping they won't come on your table (not jumping, but in a dish :Tounge:).

I dont know that news, any ways im glad that here in country ,restaurants do nOt have that kind of rules. Although we know that children are really noisy, and very active, and sometimes they are running around the place, i still dont think it is a good idea to ban children from restaurants, because generally most of us go to the restaurant together wìth our loved ones and that includes our little kids or our little brothers and sisters.
