It hurts to see the eurofighter being disgraced by this race. It probably flew something like 10 miles. You only have to look at the speed it passes at the beginning. Most likely the eurofighter passed the 1 mile mark before the pilot was fast enough to go straight up. And every turn was 10 times as large as the Bugatti's.

Just make a 2 mile race without turns and both machines stay straight on/above the ground. The Typhoon will win with 1 minute in advance.

Technical point here. The Veyron went one mile out and one mile back, the Typhoon went one mile up however, didn't go one mile down. In order to do a complete one mile descent it should have landed. It may only have been 50 feet off the deck, but a mile short by 50 feet is still not a mile.

Richard completed his challenge, RAF failed to land and so failed to do the return mile vertically and therefore failed to complete their challenge.

This still rocks way better than the Corvette vs F-18.
