There are loads of Chinese people who are addicted to WoW. Almost every week one dies by not going to the toilet, starvation, not drinking etc.

Oh wow, I think that is a little beyond extreme. Dont need to kill yourself over a game... I know you would get hungry I think that is just stupid.. Videos games do affect peoples life and thats why they are trying to find other things to do, besides just play video games.

Wow.. Like that's crazy. I did a three day session before as well, but my team did take breaks one at a time to eat, get a freaking bath and all. This one's plain crazy lol

The Government probably don't care.

As people in China are born almost every minute.

I saw this on TV today.

Some people just let their kids die because they are playing Farmvile too much. Just recently somebody from Argentina let her daughter drown because she wasn't paying attention to her. She was playing Farmville.
Also a few weeks ago, a woman beaded her son to death because he kept crying and the woman wanted to play Farmville. The little boy was crying because he wasn't fed anymore.

^ Gosh! that woman one is so horrible. how can a mother do like this? She simply don't deserve to be a mother! Playing video games is Ok but this is extremism

Wow..that's beyond ridiculous. People need to get some perspective on life. I'll admit that I used to be hardcore addicted to video games, but it never got in the way of stuff like food and sleep

This is one of the ways I want to die.

made me think a scene where you're winning already then suddenly you die then you lose the game eventually xD

I know, some people just get addicted to crappy mainstream games such as Farmville -.-'. If it was Gran Turismo 5 or Killzone 3, it would've been a waaay different story.
Just kidding, it's terrible that things like this happens. I heard that South-Korea and Vietnam already made new laws making it impossible for games to play between 23:00 and 06:00. Don't know if that's gonna help. Than we got illegal gaming instead of illegal drug abuse.

How in the world are they going to enforce that? turning off the power between those times? lol I think that's just talk, honestly

Well, since most Asian people still play their MMORPGS in Internet-cafe's, the government just closes them.

That would help slow it down, but it wouldn't enforce it. It would just force the hardcore gamers to get their own internet connection at home and play

The most hardcore Internet players already got their own connection but the Chinese government wants to close down all connections to MMORPGs so nobody can play. Of-course they can just download Hot Spot Shield which changes your IP address so you can still play but I don't think so many people will do that.

It would work for a while, but if people want to play bad enough, they'll definitely find a way around it.
