I use AVG, I'd say it's the best overall because when I had McAffee it wouldn't leave me alone and always wanted me to do things.
But with AVG it stops things in relatively short times whereas McAffee spends more of it's time bugging you than debugging the Computer.
I haven't had any experience with other Anti-Virus softwares though, there are probably better ones out there!

RE: Best Anti-Virus

I've tried a few anti viruses. I'm currently using AVG which is my second pick but Kaspersky is very good so that's my first pick. I enjoyed it a lot more than I do with AVG.

I use norton on my laptop, AVG on my PC. If norton were more lightweight it would be my go to.

I've been studying and analyzing viruses and various types of Malware for over a year now, along with Antivirus softwares.

I've did a bit of studying this year and the top one that I personally recommend seems to be Avast antivirus. Ease of use and quite lightweight also it is free.
And if you are wanting to pay I'd go with Bitdefender, seems to come on top every year and every time I check it. I wouldn't recommend it if you are just wanting something to protect it because there is alot of options and features you'll need to know before using Bitdefender. I'd recommend Avast or ESET for lightweight and comfortability.

But, if you get lazy. I'll just recommend Malwarebytes PRO and Comodo Firewall.

I don't personally think there's a best one. People can claim this one is the best one but different Av's have diff signatures so therefore, nothing is the best. The best is using your brain. Know what you're doing. Be smart on how viruses control your pc. Install programs to already "infect your computer." Basically, that means that if you got a virus that is trying to override the setting, the program that you've installed that "infected your computer, but it's not a virus" the virus can't override it so therefore, the virus is just sitting there doing no harm.

But i prefer using MBAM, & hitmanpro, killswitch.
