This debate is on which country was the best fighting force throughout World war 2.

My opinion:

Germans had the best army. Germans had better weapon and warfare tactics. They had also invented a lot of weapons such as; STG44 (first assault rifle), V-2 and V-1. They also had better tank then any other army.

I recently finished reading Memoirs: Ten Years and Twenty Days. Doenitz really spends a good chunk talking about Germanys war efforts. I'd have to say the German Navy was extremely impressive to me with all the work they put in. The whole rescue operation at the end also showed their navy to be good people

I'm sorry but we have the most powerful military force on this planet.

I'm very patriotic towards my country.

Americans had higher death causticities then Germans. Germans had better tanks, ships and weapons then Americans.

Canada, we never lost a battle.

"Germany won--hands down. Dieppe was officially a raid but actually a practice invasion with RAF and Royal forces and mostly Canadian troops. It was a fullblown disaster. Most of the Canadians were captured, RAF aircover broke down, numerous Royal Navy ships were sunk."

I think the American's were extremely powerful and their addition was the most influential but their late arrival rules them out.

I know the Canadians were involved in the War of 1812. They did have some involvement in other wars but not really a top player.

I've never even heard of Canada being in a battle, I study History o.0

1917 - We took Vimy Ridge on our first attempt & Passchedaele when no one else could ( British, French both failed , etc ) During the second battle of Ypres when the Germans launched the first gas attack all other forces retreated while Canadians stood their ground and did not let the Germans Pass.

WWII - Battle of Dieppe. On d-day we took Juno beach and had driven inland by about 15 miles within 3-4 hours. The Americans at Omaha took all day just to take the beach, Omaha was the toughest beach to take while Juno was second. Canadians liberated Holland,The Netherlands & Belgium.

How can you say you've never heard of canadians in battle ?

Canada could be very much considered the top fighting force through out both wars.

It seems as if USA only joins wars when it directly affects them on their own home soil. What I mean is that during WWI & WWII many countries went to war to try and bring peace to the world and stop fighting, however the usa joined WWI only because a German U-boat sunk their passenger ship that held 1000 civillians, that was in 1917 with only like 8 months until the war ends. They only joined WWII because the Japaneese bombed Pearl Harbour. If the USA was never attacked during both wars they would have stayed out. The USA displays very poor care for world issues , if it does not affect them they won't get involved.

Excuse me for my language, you are a fucking idiot. Canada didn't become a country until 1867.

Ya, none of those wars were the USAs affairs, until it was made into our affairs. There was no reason for USA to join, no one asked USA to join, and USA told the allies Germany would want revenge after WWI and not to call us for help. Part of the reason why we didn't sign the Treaty of Versailles.
