Best kind of pet to have?

(Not going to add a poll as there is quite a list to choose from and I might forget some) Reasons why they make good pets, bad pets, etc.


Choice of pet: Dog.
Favourite name for a pet: Bennett.
pros: keeps me warm :] He's obedient. Entertaining. Keeps me company when I'm home alone. Practically my best mate, spend a lot of time with him.
cons: Can be lazy, doesn't eat his dinner and comes straight to us hoping we'll give him food.
Extra information about your pet: He's a staffordshire bull terrier and is 9 years of age (Human years)

These are just boss dogs, i had one but it chewed the fuck out of everything in sight and had to get rid of him, i think these are the best pets

I don't like animals on general so I can't really comment with a great opinion on this thread, however, if you are to have any pet, I'd recommend something that's not a dog. They require too much maintenance. Cats or fish are pretty low-maintenance and boring, go for one of those if you have to have a pet.

I had a chameleon that was really neat. It's extremely high maintenance though. A cat seems like the best pet to have imo.
