Basically, these two debate over evolution, and god's spoken word.

Who is Ken Ham?

Ken Ham - In 1979, Ham co-founded what was to be later known as the Creation Science Foundation (CSF) in Queensland, Australia with John Mackay.
Ham worked for the Institute for Creation Research (ICR), a young-Earth organisation. In 1994, with the assistance of what is now Creation Ministries International (Australia), Ham and colleagues Mark Looy and Mike Zovath set up Creation Science Ministries, later renamed Answers in Genesis. The Christian ministry specialises in young Earth creationism and promotes the belief that the initial chapters in Genesis should be taken as literally true and historically accurate. He then began raising funds to build the ministry. [Taken from Wikipedia]

Who is Bill Nye?

Bill Nye - William Sanford "Bill" Nye (born November 27, 1955), popularly known as Bill Nye the Science Guy, is an American science educator, comedian, television host, actor, writer, and scientist who began his career as a mechanical engineer at Boeing. He is best known as the host of the Disney/PBS children's science show Bill Nye the Science Guy (1993–98) and for his many subsequent appearances in popular media as a science educator.
Personally, after watching this video, Bill Nye's debate statements make me believe there is no god. Ken Hamm has good points, but they seem so invalid, that it makes me sick to my stomach. He's an intelligent person, very intriguing at that. [Taken from Wikipedia]

Both debaters are geniuses. They provide valid points between god and evolution. This debate it well worth the 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Examples Ken Ham used

- You can't age the earth.

- Thinks creationists should teach our people to day, to make everyone believe in religion/bible/god.

- God created marriage/food/clothing/etc. [Basically all of our daily needs today]

- The bible is very important, new testament named 'the seven seas of history'.

Examples Bill Nye used included

- Grand Canyon not having fossils that are in the walls, only on the ground. [Proving that animals/humans/species were not entitled to being down underwater for over a year].

- Bill Nye states that fossils cannot form within 4000 years.

- Fossils spread out over a 2000 mile radius within 4000 years. [ALSO FALSE.

- Australian land bridge has disappeared. [Not traces of this even being possible.

- We as humans would find 11 new species every day, if Ken Ham's model had been valid.

These are just very minimum of what I have found.

The reason I made this thread, is not to contemplate my knowledge, but to see what you as the community think.

I hope this thread entertained you. Enjoy.

There were already two threads discussing this debate :/ I think we all know Ken Ham proved Bills point for him. He dodged questions, failed to provide any evidence to support his claims, and the little bit of a case he tried to make was filled with logical fallacies. Bill Nye just kept it simple, using knowledge we have had for a long long time. Not much of a debate.

My favorite part was where Bill Nye gave a shoutout to the Seahawks tbh.

I've been meaning to listen to this for a while now. It's all over imgur, but I haven't had the time to go searching for this video. Thanks for the share.

Ken Ham got absolutely wrecked in this debate. He was basically proving Bill's points for him! It was very fun to watch :p
