Could somebody explain to me in SIMPLE ENGLISH why it's possible for a computer (usually with a high-end core, possible overclocked to speed it up), to solve advanced equations to 'mine' (receive) bitcoins? I'd love to know the logic behind this and why it exists, and how people can estimate that there's around $180 million worth of BitCoins left to be mined. Bitcoin mining has always confused the hell out of me.
