I'm interested in beginning to buy some Bitcoins or Litecoins. But i don't know which one I should get invested with. And also where can i buy these? And how does this work. Would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

I suggest getting into Litecoins now. Bitcoins are way to high to get started with.
Use a major exchange site like http://btc-e.com to buy some, or get it exchanged at a forum.
Be aware of scammers though.
