This actually does show why the constitution isn't perfect like so many Americans think it is.
As stated above, it's the 3/5th Compromise.
It was written for a reason (for that time period). The southerners felt that the northerners had an unfair advantage in the HoR, as they were in the very dense populated cities (which they did). The HoR was counted based on population. The North felt that slaves should not be counted, but Southerners did.
The president of the time (or one of those important people) came up with the idea of 3/5 Compromise. So that both sides got a compromise of a deal. So the immense amount of slaves in the south, were only counted as 3/5 of the entire population.
And it's not going to be perfect, it was written under a lot of pressure by a couple of radical thinkers, who had to write it in fear of their lives. The fact that it's still intact today and what our country is based of off (one of the most sought after countries to live in) is amazing.
But with the 15-th amendment this was deemed useless, black males were allowed to vote (and eventually everyone). The constitution was ever changing. If something was found wrong, it was replaced (such as science
)
To say something that was written hundreds of years ago that founded this amazing country is stupid, just go to another country, no one's keeping you here lol
