Catholics believe that Lord Jesus Christ is present on the altar of the Holy Sacrament. What is your opinion about this?

I am a catholic. Uhm actually I dont know but maybe yes. I am not a religious so I dont know how to react on this thing. I dont want to say wrong thing but for I feel the presence of God in the altar. I know he can be every where. He can be in every locations. Its not exactly that we worship the statue but it is just like the representation of the memory of Christ. When we pray in the altar we think of Jesus Christ and we welcome him in our hear.

It is the belief they have! The belief makes a stone statue a God or a simple river as the Goddess Ganges! So ultimately it is the faith and the belief which is making these people to believe so and they are finding solace in doing so! What is the harm? Thanks!

Well I think He is present in the sacrament if we believe so. Physically we can't see Him, but our hearts can tell that He is there. God is present if we allow Him to be. :)

Spiritually you can believe this. Considering when communion takes place, you drink the blood of Christ, and eat the body of Christ.

Obviously you're not, but it's the same concept.
