I don't know. It just feels weird to be on a forum without rep. Also, the people that got rep "abused", left the site anyway.

And again, it's not rep abuse if you say "I don't like this person". So yeah.

My suggestion is too bring back rep.
(Not trying to be a rep whore, by the way.) :/

I also Would like rep back, simply because it could show if a user was trustworthy or not and stuff.

Personally, I like the 'Like' system better. There are a lot less complaints about the abuse of rep/likes, and people receive likes through making posts other's like instead of any plain reason the way rep does it.

Maybe +Rep, but neg rep can be abused... i think Uzi disabled it for a reason anyway

I have a feeling this is happening because people are gelatin of my likes. :hehe:

On a waffle note: The rep system was abused an me and Uzi had a talk about it and we implemented the like system due to the abuse.
Ever since then there hasn't been anymore reports of abuse. Considering the fact that is was removed had a big deal with that. (Herpa derps idiot)

The amount of 'friction' caused by having a "Reputation System" implemented wasn't worth the benefit(s). With Uzi Gaming's new "Like System", I've yet to hear / see anyone complain about abuse of the system... unless you're name is 'Luxor'. :hehe:

Well "likes" can be used multiple times and even spammed. With rep you can only use it once per user. There can also be reputation guide lines and report reputation abuse for those who like to abuse rep. I still think both systems should be in place.

I've yet to witness "spammed likes" (excluding 'Luxor'). Even if a user(s) was to commit such an act, they would be dealt with accordingly. With or without "reputation guidelines", the system would still be abused.

As it is currently standing; Uzi Gaming shall remain with having a "Like System" implemented until such time as a "Reputation System" is justified... and I'm sure Mr.Uzi will agree with my opinion.

Why not deal accordingly with members that abuse the reputation system?

Every member of Uzi Gaming's staff team has took that road, and it has always resulted in a full-on smash. There is more of an 'abuse' problem when our "Reputation System" was implemented... so it would make more sense to stick with out current "Like System".

I like the idea of having a reputation system and a Like system, both implemented at the same time. I'll possibly bring back the reputation system over this weekend or next week (whenever I find the time).

I also need to organise the reputation system, such as making sure certain usergroups can't give negative reputation whilst other groups can.

I appreciate your suggestion, Contest. We'll maybe give it another shot, but if it's abused once more, it won't be making a return.
