During the party, not only will your credit card get maxed out, lose your left shoe, wake up on someones kitchen floor thinking to yourself if you were forced to make someone a sandwich or not, not knowing where you are and you're scared until you realize as soon as you walk outside your house is right across the street, your room mates calling you at 3am making sure you haven't been raped, and so much more!

During a date, obviously nothing isn't going to happen during the first date aside from cleaning out your bank account.
