This isn't exactly about Buddhism, but more of their beliefs (inner energy, higher awakening, achieving nirvana etc.)

I've looked into several religions/beliefs (Christianity, Buddhism, satanism Etc.) But by far the most interesting to me is the Buddhist. They believe in achieving spiritual enlightenment, awakening yourself and becoming one with your inner being, aka nirvana. That's the most basic way to put it. They do this through meditation, which I do practice, but I am not Buddhist (For the record I'm Christian). But anyway, through meditation you can do not necessarily gain anything, experience loss. Loss of depression, stress, anger, sadness, grief, guilt, insecurity. All those negative feelings that keep you from being one with yourself disappear once you've been practicing for awhile, apparently. Hence the reason monks are so calm. Another interesting thing is that this all falls into Chi. Which does indeed exist, if you don't believe in the existence of chi then you are a fool because the proof is everywhere on the internet.

Point of this thread is, what do you think about this? Do you believe that we actually have this non physical energy within ourselves? Be open minded, anythings possible.

My opinion:
Personally I do believe that we do have this spiritual energy, being that I am a Christian and probably one of the most open minded people you'll ever talk to, I find it very likely.

I have a video to share that is LEGIT, not fake, not edited, not mine. This man has harnessed his Chi and displays it very well. Enjoy. Don't forget to leave feedback.

Excuse my typing, I'm on mobile.

This whole topic has been ripping me apart for the last few months. A girl I was talking to was really into Metaphysics, said that she saw aura's and could "see air." By nature i'm a very logical person, and the only proof she had was her word. Which isnt proof to me. I think this falls in line with what you're talking about. I think the whole "scene" of this topic ruins it. You know, psychics, gypsies, witches, I kind of categorize them all in this one category. I used to call it bullshit. Now I really want to know once and for all, if this is all make belief and psuedoscience, or if their really is any truth to any of it, and that includes the spiritual aspect of all this. The chakra, the chi, its all so fucking confusing. I've tried to read up on it and it all seems like a delusional fairytale.

Its real. There's so much proof that one can't really say that it doesn't exist. You just need to be open minded. Logic can't explain everything, which is exactly why religion is such a big controversy.

I am open minded. Show me so much proof that I can deny it's truth. @God

If there really was "so much proof one can't really say it doesn't exist," it's existence wouldn't be a matter of dispute, which is contrary to reality. To be open minded is to filter your mind with the concepts of logic, reason and science. The concept contradicts all three of those. Religion is a big controversy for it's the justification of all things wrong, not because we can't decipher which is true. Besides, that point of view is flawed. It ignores the possibility that all faiths are fraudulent.
