But you're missing my point. Which is that bullies specifically go for people they know will not retaliate.

Yeah i see what your saying. But they could tell a teacher or something.

No one like a tattle-tale. there's no easy way out of bullying. You can't tell anyone or you'll get bullied even worse for being a rat and you can't stand up for yourself because most of the time the bully picks his prey according to whether he'll be able to overthrow them. That's why it's important that we attack the issue at its core rather than teach kids how to defend themselves, although sometimes it can be useful.
