Well,

Talking from my perspective, the person who used to bullied me got bullied hardcore.
He wanted to feel better and picked on me.

Why do people bully?
Do they just want to feel better?

I've never been bullied or bullied anyone before, but I think it's because they are trash and they are making themselves forget their own major problems and sorrows by getting off on putting someone down or making them they think they have major problems that really aren't that serious or problems at all.

I understand why people bully, and it doesn't really make sense. Bullying shows that you have power over someone, which in turn makes people fear you. And not be cliché but I think it's better to be feared then to be loved. Bullies gain respect by people who don't wanna get bullied by him. So they constantly have followers that will be their side kicks.

Bullying is an opportunity for someone with low self-esteem to burden others because of their own problems and insecurities. There's an ongoing problem in our society of people receiving more attention for negative behaviors rather than positive ones, and bullying is a prime example.

In my opinion I think people do it to get a point across. The point across they are trying to get is that they are the king/ruler/boss of the school. They also want to get attention, to get a feeling of being known as the never been before. That is why most bullies are people who have had a rough time before, as I have seen. Anyways going back to the main point, when they punch someone weaker nobody wants to mess with him, because nobody feels to fight. So that is why I think people bully.

This kid used to bully everyone in elementary school because his parents are drunks and that beat him so he would take his anger out on us. I remember one day he pulled out a knife on a teacher to prove that he wasn't afraid of anything. I haven't seen the kid since then.

This is actually quite the obvious answer. It's because we're all after power. They want power over you. Look at how the rest of the world runs. Everything is done in lust of dominance, always has, probably always will.

Not everyone is after power. I am a follower and a leader.
I follow if there's a leader, I will be the leader if there's no leader.

I think it just makes people feel "better" when they mess with someone smaller.

Probably because they get bullied themselves, learn from others around them or find it cool.

Kids nowadays are too soft, bullying has always been around and always will be. Maybe if kids would stand up for themselves and stop being whiny bitchies, we wouldn't have the problems we do. Bullying is not a problem, it's a completely normal thing for kids to pick on each other. I'm sorry to say this but the kid being bullied should blame himself that he's bullied, cause he don't do anything about it but sit and let it get to him. Just tell them to stop and if they don't, pop them in the fucking mouth till they learn you don't like it.

If you think bullying is norma; and acceptable, you are dead wrong.

'The bully dynamic is not, nor should it be considered a normal part of growing up. It is an intentional, premeditated act intended to harm another person. When we recognize the signs of bullying taking place, it is essential for the well being of both the bully and the victim that the bullying end.'

Bullying happens because the bully probably either has: A: problems at home such as child abuse, or divorce. B: got bullied and feels low about himself. Either way, he going to feel low of himself. So, he is going to bully others so he can feel good, but instead, he should see a counselor for his problems.

I'm pretty sure there is a boatload of more, but I don't want to type them out, since I'm in my mansion, swimming in my pool of caviar.

In my personal case bullying was everywhere when I was younger. Back in the day I hung out with a group of kids at school that were complete asses to anyone who was not us. I didn't put people down to make myself feel better. I put people down because it was funny to everybody, including my friends. Bad feeling never came along because I honestly was never bullied in school, and still to this day have never been. We were young and immature around that time, but I still am a dick. Remember, @NSA?

Oh yeah that was the greatest school year I have ever had, until the principal decided she was going to try to control who I hung out with. Obviously it didn't work

IMO, bullying is a way that some people compromise for their drawbacks. Everyone has their drawbacks and bullying is one way in an ocean of ways to cope with our various problems. People drink, use, bully, kill, etc for their own reasons as a way to "fix" themselves for a short while.
