I'd like to know how to make the flash-slash in my signature look more like a slash instead of a bar going through it. I wan't it to look like it's shining!

Try setting the blending mode of the layer, on which the 'flash' is placed, screen/overlay/colour dodge/linear dodge (add).
Play around with opacity and blending styles, there's no perfect mode, it all depends on which colours you're using.

Anyways, what site do you use for fonts C4? I use Dafont, but it doesn't seem that great when trying to find something stylish fast.

Dafont when I need fonts quick. Abduzeedo has a weekly or monthly "best free fonts" thing going on.

Sigtutorials has some very easy to follow tutorials.
Whenever you want to learn something specific (retouching, manipulation) Google is your friend.
