I'd like to know how to make the flash-slash in my signature look more like a slash instead of a bar going through it. I wan't it to look like it's shining!

Try setting the blending mode of the layer, on which the 'flash' is placed, screen/overlay/colour dodge/linear dodge (add).
Play around with opacity and blending styles, there's no perfect mode, it all depends on which colours you're using.

I think I was the only one that correctly used this thread so far..

Anyways, what site do you use for fonts C4? I use Dafont, but it doesn't seem that great when trying to find something stylish fast.

Easiest place to start is http://www.sigtutorials.com/ and Google.
Sigtutorials has some very easy to follow tutorials.
Whenever you want to learn something specific (retouching, manipulation) Google is your friend.
GFXForums.net is a great gfx community where you'll get all the feedback and resources you'll ever need.
