The people who want the WWII gameplay back will not complain, I don't see the logic you're trying to convey. Obviously it is the timeline, and a lot of people don't like it. But then again, a lot of people do.Yosemite said:Looks cool, I'm not sure why everybody is complaining that it's set in the future. It's the sequel to BO2 which was set in the future so obviously it isn't going to be in the past?
It's the Black Ops timeline, get over it.
I don't play much CoD anymore, aside from zombies. I am super excited for zombies, it's one of the only things I really enjoy about CoD anymore. I like the futuristic games though and people are going to have to get used to it because CoD has basically run WWI/WWII FPS games into the ground, so they're moving on to futuristic games.
I can't wait until they exhaust this futuristic thing and are forced to either go back to WWII, or earlier and see how everybody complains. Nobody is ever happy with what they're given.

People have different opinions on games, so of course there will be people who don't approve of the drastic change.
No, MW3 was not futuristic. AW is futuristic. It all kicked off with AW and will continue to be in that direction. AW has the mechanics AND the gameplay while the other games did not.Yosemite said:I'm not sure a lot of people do want the WWII gameplay back though, I know a few do but not very many. That era has already been exhausted by CoD so I'm not sure they'll bring it back. Although I have heard rumours about a "World at War 2" that intrigued me.
What do you mean by drastic change? Call of Duty has been futuristic since 2011 when MW3 came out.
MW3 was set in 2014/2015 and had some futuristic elements and in 2012 when BO2 came out the futuristic elements become more prominent.
Since BO2 (2012) the game has been headed in that direction, as Ghosts (2013) came out and was set in a futuristic timeline and obviously Advanced Warfare (2014) was, well, Advanced. This has been a long time coming, so the change isn't drastic. It just follows the ever popular trend of futuristic warfare.
I understand that a lot of people dislike the futuristic gameplay though, but I guess they'll have to deal with it because nothing we say can change the developers minds.

Many people want the WWI & WWII setting back, including myself.Yosemite said:I'm not sure a lot of people do want the WWII gameplay back though, I know a few do but not very many.
