Can you swap an email?

So if I were to delete the alias on a live.com email, would it let me make it a primary alias on another live account?

Sorry if I sound dumb but I want to swap my OG live email to a new account.

I've been trying this for awhile and I haven't been able to find a way.
I can recreate the alias on the same account once deleted but I can't on another. Also, I don't think @Live can be created anymore so nope.

Sucks because I have a nice main attached to my @Live but I'm using the email for college acceptances and such.

You could in the past, but now it's impossible considering you can't make any more @live emails. You trash it and it's gone forever, or until at least they open back up the service.

You definitely can make Live emails.
You just have to get it to where you can enter in any domain.
They just took Live off of the selection from Outlook or Hotmail.
